Managing Lawyer – In-house Commercial
We are working with a leading international professional services firm on a senior Managing Lawyer role within their high-performing in-house Commercial Team.
This is a strategic, business-facing role supporting the firm’s global growth. You will work closely with the Global Head of Commercial, advising lawyers and senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions on complex commercial, technology and procurement matters.
The role:
* Lead complex commercial, technology (including AI) and procurement contracts from negotiation through to execution
* Provide pragmatic, risk-based legal advice to lawyers and non-lawyers across the firm’s global offices
* Initiate and drive strategic projects aligned to the firm’s growth objectives
* Develop and deliver internal training across commercial and risk topics
* Support regulatory and compliance frameworks (UK, EU and US), including data protection
* Contribute to firm-wide risk mitigation strategy
* Supervise and mentor junior team members
* Operate as a trusted adviser to senior internal stakeholders
The background they want:
* 9+ PQE
* Strong commercial contracts, technology and procurement experience
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to professional services organisations
* Experience managing complex issues in a global environment
* Prior in-house experience within a law firm or professional services business highly desirable
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
