Cardiology Consultant - Fixed Term
This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a Fixed Term Consultant Cardiologist post based between Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) and Dr Grays Hospital (DGH). The post-holder will be joining a team of eleven Cardiologists.
Location & Working Pattern
Based primarily at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the role requires travel to Dr Grays Hospital, Elgin. The post is full-time, fixed term, with a 1:11 basis for General Adult Cardiology Receiving and a commitment of six out‑patient clinics per week, which may include peripheral clinics. Weekend ward rounds are also expected.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver General Adult Cardiology Receiving (1:11 basis) including weekend ward rounds.
* Consultant clinical duties across Department of Cardiology, covering General Cardiology, Chest Pain Clinics, Complex Heart Failure/Devices, Arrhythmias, Valve Disease, Cardiomyopathies and Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
* Deliver and run monthly Familial Arrhythmia Clinic in collaboration with Clinical Genetics.
* Maintain inpatient cardiac care through Coronary Care Unit, inpatient ward and day case ward.
Qualifications
* Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC in place before starting.
* UK physicians must hold evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register.
* Alternatively, possess a CESR or CESR (CP).
