Flex metallic is an established metallic hose assembly manufacturer that is looking to expand its workforce. There is a requirement for a Tig Welder to join our skilled team based on the outskirts of Northampton. You will be using a wide range of jigs, fixtures, welding plant, motorised turntable and associated equipment to assemble and weld an assortment of Stainless Steel Metallic hose products to exacting standards. The successful candidate would have a good knowledge of Tig welding and be prepared to develop their welding skills to suit hose manufacturing processes. Main duties: Tig welding Hose assembly related work Adhering to the companys health and safety policies Housekeeping, general maintenance of the welding department and equipment Skills: Experience in Tig welding of light gauge stainless steel Ability to use motorised welding rotator / turntable Good communication skills Experience in a small/medium batch size production environment preferable Able to read and follow standardised works instructions Personal Attributes: A proactive, positive and can do attitude. To be able to work accurately and have attention to detail. Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team Prepared to assist on tasks sometimes unrelated to the job description.
