Senior Equity Portfolio Manager/Engineer – ETFs/Index Investing
Location: London
Responsibilities
* Carrying out daily management of the index equity portfolios via portfolio construction and trade implementation
* Supporting the management of client flows efficiently
* Managing investment and risk exposures, while determining optimal hedging strategies where applicable
* Determining optimal portfolio strategy to minimize tracking error to index, to ensure trading accuracy across corporate actions and cash flows
* Working on projects geared towards creating efficiency and bringing scale/automation for the overall development of platform
* Working closely with trading desks to determine optimal execution strategies
* Contributing to new and existing product development processes
* Overseeing the Net Asset Value, Portfolio Composition File reconciliations and performance attribution analysis
Qualifications
* Strong financial product knowledge across either Equities, Fixed Income or Commodities with exposure to Index, Synthetic, Delta-one or Derivative instruments
* Sound experience from either a Portfolio Management, Trading, Index Research background, with knowledge around portfolio construction, performance & attribution, and related ETF servicing
* Knowledge of index methodologies from key providers including FTSE, S&P, MSCI etc
* Strong quantitative/analytical skills including Python, VBA and Excel are highly beneficial
* An understanding of rebalance trading strategies
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and capability using Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset, Aladdin and optimisation systems like Barra BPM, Bloomberg Portfolio Management
* Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience

Hybrid Working Model
DWS’ Hybrid Working model in the UK is designed to find the right balance between in-person collaboration and engagement in the office, and working from home. Employees who wish to sign‑up to our Hybrid Working model are required to work in the office two days a week, and are given the flexibility to work from home for the remaining three days.
