Overview
We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Psychologist to be directly involved in a clinically based research project at the Royal Cornhill Hospital. The project aims to assess the impact of attachment-based psychological formulations on acute inpatient care. Both patients and staff will be recruited to assess intervention impact on relational aspects of acute care. The post holder will coordinate research activity and engage both patients and staff in completing formal validated psychometrics during the project. The post holder will be trained in the model and attend regular research team meetings. Supervisors include the acute inpatient psychologist involved in the project and the Director of Psychology who is the research grant holder.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate research-based activity and engage patients and staff in completing validated psychometrics during the project.
* Be trained in the attachment-based formulations model and attend regular research team meetings.
* Work under supervision of the acute inpatient psychologist and the Director of Psychology.
* Contribute to a clinically based research group and gain experience for portfolio development.
Qualifications
* Interest in pursuing or expanding experience as an applied psychologist.
* Completion of relevant undergraduate/postgraduate training in psychology or a related field; eligibility for graduate training or registration as a psychologist would be expected.
