We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Advisor to join our team in Norwich. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees while providing excellent support and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities Accurate Payroll Processing: Process employee wages, salaries, overtime, deductions, and benefits accurately and on time
Calculate statutory contributions, including pensions and National Insurance
Handle payroll changes, such as salary adjustments
Manage payroll deadlines and ensure compliance with regulations
Employee Queries and Support: Address employee inquiries related to pay, pay slips, timesheets, and deductions
Provide clear and accurate information to employees
Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records
Ensure compliance with relevant payroll regulations and tax laws
Prepare payroll reports for management
Facilitate audits by providing necessary records and documentation
Additional Responsibilities: Assist with year-end processes, including producing P11D/P9D forms
Collect and process timesheets
Manage absence records
Liaise with HR regarding new starters, leavers, and remuneration
Process statutory payments and attachment orders
Administer company pension schemes
Skills and Qualifications Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Experience with payroll software
In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws
Ability to handle and resolve complex employee payroll issues
Desirable: Certified payroll qualifications (e.g., CIPP)
