The Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator/Advisor will be responsible for the maintenance of the HSE Management system and processes in compliance with ISO14001 and ISO45001. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing Accidents, Near misses and Environmental Issues, identifying HSE risks and implementing mitigation, participating in cross-functional improvement initiatives (Lean, QHSE, Documentation Digitalization), ensuring compliance with HS&E legislation and regulations, and delivering risk assessments, audits and HSE walks. You will coordinate external bodies as needed.
Responsibilities
* Health and Safety: Support the Head of Quality and HSE in the maintenance of the Management system.
* Identification, Mitigation and Planning of risk assessments (COSHH, Process, Puwer).
* Recording, Investigation and Mitigation of accidents and near misses.
* Organization of training records and schedules.
* Performing inductions for new employees.
* Conducting and reporting of audits, safety walks and drills.
* Organization and effective management of H&S meetings.
* Coordination with third-party bodies and inspections.
* Provide technical advice where required.
* Ensure compliance to ISO and regulatory requirements.
* Management and organization of the Health Surveillance program.
* Control of contractors’ permit to work.
* Reporting of KPIs and presentation to the management team.
Environmental
* Identification, Mitigation and Planning of risk assessments.
* Recording, Investigation and Mitigation of Environmental Incidents.
* Conducting audits and inspections.
* Ensure compliance to ISO and regulatory requirements.
* Review and maintenance of Impacts and Aspects.
* Coordination of Improvement Initiatives.
* Ensuring Site plans are maintained.
* Reporting of KPIs and presentation to management team.
Qualifications
* A Minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
* A demonstrated track record of training personnel in HS&E awareness – Essential.
* Experience in HSE for production manufacturing – Essential.
* Attention to detail – Essential.
* Welding and fabrication background desirable – Desired.
* Strong computer skills required – Essential.
Licensing & Certifications
* NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma - Essential
Skills & Competencies
* Management systems qualifications/experience – ISO14001, ISO45001.
* Trained Internal Auditor certification.
* In-depth understanding of technical documentation.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Team player with good analytical skills.
* Able to identify and resolve problems using a structured, data-driven approach.
* Root Cause and Corrective Action practitioner.
* PC literate – MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

* Excellent communicator, collaborator and coordinator.
* High level reporting and data interrogation capabilities.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects/objectives.
* Strong organization, planning, and action plan execution capabilities.

Knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite: D365 is beneficial.
Compensation & Benefits
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30 and Friday 08:00-14:00 (37.5 hours per week). Pay rate: £38,000 to £43,000 per annum depending on experience.
