Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Slough Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Start Date: September 2025 Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our warm and supportive school community in Slough from September 2025. About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting individual pupils or small groups with a range of learning needs, helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling every child to reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support and create an inclusive, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Promote a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment Monitor and record pupils’ progress, feeding back to staff and parents Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation using positive interventions About You: Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow direction and also use initiative when required Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable We Offer: A friendly, inclusive and well-resourced school Supportive leadership and professional development opportunities A chance to make a real and lasting impact on young learners’ lives If you’re a caring and committed individual with the drive to support children with additional needs, we’d love to hear from you.
