Renewable Service Engineer
Location: Bedford
Reporting to: Renewable Power Manager / Depot Manager
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering eco-friendly products and sustainable power solutions as the company strives to become the cleanest power division in the market.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, health checks, MPBA Electrical and Solar PV testing in line with company guidelines and legislative requirements (MPBA & Solar PV training provided).
* Install and set up renewable products on customer sites.
* Complete site handovers to customers, working alongside the Product Support team to ensure smooth installation and customer understanding.
* Coach site teams on the use, management, and maintenance of renewable products.
* Conduct final sign-offs to confirm equipment is fully operational.
* Perform necessary repairs on renewable products as required.
* Decommission renewable products at the end of hire, including disconnection, decommissioning, and battery management.
General Duties
* Comply with all company policies, procedures, and core values at all times.
* Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently, following Health & Safety directives, method statements, and procedures.
* Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment for all tasks.
* Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment on customer sites and within depots.
* Conduct pre-use checks on company vehicles and drive safely and courteously.
* Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle defects promptly.
* Adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes to ensure full compliance.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, AM2, CPD, or CPS.
* MPBA Level I & II. (Ideal)
* Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small-Scale PV Systems.
* Minimum of 5 years’ electrical experience or knowledge.
* Experience working with engines and/or generators.
* Full clean driver’s license
