As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Credit Risk team, you'll be an essential member of an agile team that works collaboratively to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Your role as a core technical contributor will involve creating critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions, all in support of our firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
* Execute creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technically, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or resolve problems.
* Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
* Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
* Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials for system integration.
* Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and use of new technologies.
* Contribute to team culture emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification in system design, with practical experience.
* Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
* Advanced skills in Java, Spring framework, and multi-threading.
* Experience with Kafka, streaming technologies, RESTful web services, and databases (Oracle, etc.).
* Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
* Proficiency in technical disciplines like cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile applications.
* Deep knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems.
* Practical experience with cloud-native development.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Knowledge of Big Data development and software design.
* Understanding of Risk Management and Credit Risk.
