Operate kilns according to set procedures and production schedules to ensure consistent product quality. Monitor kiln performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal processing conditions. Accurately weigh trollies before and after processing and record all batch data for traceability. Inspect products for quality, identifying and reporting any faults or contamination. Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment. Support wider production tasks as needed, working flexibly across shifts to meet operational targets. As a Kiln Operative, you'll play a vital role in producing high-quality seafood products by operating industrial kilns to precise standards. Working at the heart of our production process, you’ll be responsible for ensuring seafood is processed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality. You’ll monitor kiln conditions, record important data, inspect products, and ensure everything meets our strict food safety and hygiene standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in getting the details right. Please note: This is a permanent night shift position, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, 6pm to 6am.
