Founding Business Partner – Children's Care Services (South Wales)
Equity | Leadership | Long-term Value Creation
10% equity across all children's care ventures
Base salary + profit share
No personal capital required
Fully funded growth platform
Overview
We are launching a new group of children's care services across South Wales, designed to address real gaps in provision and raise standards across the sector.
We are seeking a Founding Business Partner to lead the design, registration, launch, and scaling of the first children's service and then help shape the wider group.
This is a partnership-level role, not senior employment.
It's for someone who wants to own what they build, influence how care is delivered, and create long-term value without putting personal capital at risk.
The Partnership Proposition
* 10% equity across all current and future children's care ventures
* Base salary from £50,000+, increasing as operational responsibility grows
* Long-term profit participation linked to service performance
* No personal financial contribution or exposure
* Full funding for property, registration, legal, compliance, HR, and professional services
* Genuine autonomy to design services the right way
This role is expected to evolve into a Chief Operating Officer–level position as the group scales, overseeing multiple services, managers, and regions.
Your Role
You will:
* Lead the design and launch of the first children's care service
* Shape Statements of Purpose around genuine unmet need
* Build early relationships with commissioners, social care teams, and referrers
* Secure placements and contracts through professional routes
* Establish governance, safeguarding, and operational frameworks
* Recruit, mentor, and develop leadership teams
* Scale successful models into a multi-site, multi-venture children's care group
There will be no compromise on care standards.
Growth only happens once quality, culture, and outcomes are proven.
Scale Without Property Constraints
Property is not a limiting factor in this venture.
We have access to suitable sites across South Wales and beyond.
What matters is finding a partner who is:
* Ambitious
* Systems-minded
* Comfortable scaling services responsibly
* Motivated to build excellence at pace
This is about building a group, not a single home.
Financial Trajectory
Progression is linked to service performance, stability, and growth.
Initial service phase:
£62k (£50k base salary + £12k profit share)
Multi-service growth:
£106k (£70k base salary + £36k profit share)
Group scale:
£240k (£100k base salary + £120k profit share)
Regional scale:
£460k+ (primarily profit share, with base salary optional depending on involvement)
This is a salary-plus-ownership model, not a capped role.
Ideal Background
You are likely to be:
* A Registered Manager, Responsible Individual, or senior leader in children's services
* Experienced in regulation, safeguarding, and inspection readiness
* Comfortable designing services, not just running existing ones
* Commercially aware but deeply values-led
* Motivated by autonomy, ownership, and long-term impact
Essential:
You must be able to access commissioning routes beyond tender-only processes, including relationship-led engagement with local authorities and placement teams.
Final Note
This opportunity is for professionals who want to:
* Stop moving between senior roles
* Take control of their professional future
* Build services they are genuinely proud of
* Create long-term wealth through ownership
* Shape the future of children's care delivery
If you are ready to step into a true business partnership — with backing, autonomy, and real upside — we welcome a confidential conversation.
