Location: Gorseinon, Swansea (Office Base) – Pay: £18.35 per hour PAYE + Holiday Pay – Contract: Initial 3‑Month (Potential to Extend up to 6months) – Status: Full Time – Car Driver Essential – 3 Vacancies Available
Overview
Hoop Social Work are recruiting Early Help Lead Workers to join Swansea's Early Help Service on an initial 3‑month contract, with strong potential for extension. You will start each morning from the hub in Gorseinon and support vulnerable children, young people and families through a whole‑family, strengths‑based approach within the Signs of Wellbeing framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of children, young people and families requiring early intervention support.
* Act as the lead professional and single point of contact for families.
* Complete assessments, intervention plans and reviews to identify needs, risks and desired outcomes.
* Deliver direct interventions within homes, schools and community settings.
* Coordinate Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings and multi‑agency support plans.
* Build positive and trusting relationships with children and families, overcoming barriers to engagement.
* Advocate for children and ensure their voices are heard throughout the support process.
* Maintain accurate records, reports and case documentation.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver effective, family‑centred support.
* Support group work, youth provision, drop‑ins and community‑based activities where required.
Requirements
* Experience working with children, young people and families in an Early Help, Family Support, Youth Work or related setting.
* Strong assessment, intervention planning and multi‑agency working skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle as you will be travelling to family homes to complete assessments.
* Knowledge of Signs of Wellbeing, motivational interviewing or solution‑focused practice would be advantageous.
* Experience using WCCIS would be highly desirable and knowledge of Signs of Safety framework.
