Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone, a category C prison located in Wolverhampton. HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678, a training prison with a layout of 7 wings.
Job summary
We are seeking a candidate with extensive knowledge and experience in Primary Care. In this role, you will directly manage a team of 4 staff members, while also overseeing an additional 21 team members within the Primary Care Team. The position is approximately 80% managerial and 20% clinical. You will primarily be based within the Healthcare Department, but some work on the prison wing will also be required.
Hours
* Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week
* 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm
Salary
This position is full time. Youll receive an annual salary between £51,643 - £58,012 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
* Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
* Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non-clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
* Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.
