What will you be doing?
Joining us as IT Operations Support Engineer Manager, you'll be overseeing an IT technical team responsible for ensuring all end-user devices are updated and compliant.
You'll be helping to provide a best-in-class IT Service function; providing effective and efficient technology, solutions and services for our Members, Customers and Colleagues.
As part of this role, you'll be helping ensure device optimisation as well as identifying any potential opportunities for improvements. Your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring availability, performance, security and resilience of all end-user devices including POS, Networking equipment, applications and services
* Management of IT projects related to end-user devices
* Making sure all devices are up to date, licenced and compliant with the latest security and operational standards.
* Standardize device configurations
Additionally, you'll be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of critical services such as POS/Desktop/Antivirus.
You'll ensure project work is completed on time and to a high standard.
With an aim of enhancing efficiency and reduction in manual intervention, you'll look at the continued development of automating tasks.
You'll help drive continuous improvement in device management processes and team methodologies as well as developing documentation relating to device management processes and standards.
How will I know if I am right for this role?
This role would suit someone who is experienced in managing IT teams responsible for end-user devices.
You'll bring a strong understanding of device management, patching cycles and compliance requirements.
Experienced with maintaining critical services (such as POS, Desktop, Antivirus), you'll also demonstrate understanding of device standardization techniques and tools.
To be successful in this role, you'll need excellent project management skills, together with a track record of delivering projects on time.
A problem solver by nature, you'll also thrive on identifying opportunities to drive improvement.
You'll demonstrate strong communication skills, and be comfortable and confident liaising with stakeholders, across all levels as well as 3rd parties.
