How You Will Make Plan Zero Happen
Mitie Controls supplies BMS services and solutions across the UK. Your role will focus on delivering BMS upgrades, new installations, and maintenance regimes that optimise HVAC performance and reduce energy use. You will serve as a technical leader, using data from BMS, metering, and other sources to drive client success.
The Key Objectives Of This Role Are
* Own the business development lifecycle with Mitie clients, securing and exceeding sales targets for new BMS and Plan Zero works.
* Drive growth by establishing a strong pipeline of BMS and Net Zero opportunities for key clients.
* Act as a conduit between clients and delivery teams, ensuring projects are designed to the highest standards and delivered profitably.
* Build honest client relationships that support ongoing investment in BMS and Plan Zero pathways.
* Explore emerging BMS and metering technologies to advance digital maintenance solutions.
What will you do day to day?
* Collaborate with BMS and Plan Zero teams to deliver integrated solutions for Net Zero pathways.
* Conduct site visits to evaluate suitable BMS solutions.
* Prepare tender submissions and participate in tender interviews, articulating solutions clearly and honestly.
* Work with the Head of Operation to improve margins and profitability.
* Provide technical solutions, detailed proposals, and accurate costings for BMS and energy projects.
* Manage Salesforce opportunities, update status, and provide sales forecasts.
* Support new innovative solutions that showcase technology integration.
Experience & Skills
* Extensive knowledge of BMS – Trend, Tridium, Distech, Priva.
* Sales and business development experience or a technical engineering background.
* Commercial judgement and the ability to make good business decisions.
* Strong cross‑functional relationships and customer focus.
* Willingness to learn and strive for excellence.
* Hardworking and committed to client delivery at the highest standards.
* Understanding of Modbus and BACnet integration.
* Ability to create optimized strategies from scratch.
* Excellent communication skills and respected by peers.
* Enthusiastic team player with a passion for operational success.
