Forklift Trainer (Full-Time)
Location: New Mills, SK22
Salary: £14.99 per hour
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30am–4:00pm, Friday 7:30am–11:30am (38 hours per week)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Truck Instructor to join our team in New Mills (SK22). The successful candidate will deliver high-quality theory and practical training across all company trucks, ensuring all operators are trained to the highest safety and compliance standards.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining training excellence, auditing performance, and ensuring all company trucks and related documentation meet current health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver truck training (new and refresher) across A1, A2, A5, A6, A7, B1, D2 & P1 categories.
* Oversee all aspects of truck theory and practical training.
* Audit, monitor, and review training sessions and operator performance.
* Keep up to date with current health & safety (H&S) rules, regulations, and industry standards.
* Regularly check and maintain all truck-related documentation.
* Work closely with the Training Department to ensure consistent training quality.
* Ensure refresher training is completed and recorded on time.
* Uphold and promote company values in all aspects of training and conduct.
Health & Safety Compliance
* Monitor trained operators to ensure safe working practices.
* Ensure all truck checks, cleaning, and maintenance activities are completed to standard.
* Keep informed of any H&S updates, including through the Mentor website.
Requirements
* AITT and RTITB registered instructor (essential).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Flexible and adaptable – able to train across shifts, including nights when required.
* Excellent understanding of H&S compliance in a training environment.
* Proactive in maintaining documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance.
