We are seeking a compassionate and proactive registered Nurse to join our team and to support the delivery of high‑quality patient care within our busy GP surgery.
The successful candidate will be working across our 3 sites with our varied Nursing Team. Primary care experience is essential.
Main duties of the job
Provide nursing clinics and deliver a high standard of patient care, maintaining excellent communication and calmness under pressure.

Job responsibilities
Working in accordance with the UKCC Code of Conduct, the post‑holder will support and develop the Practice nursing team in the provision of assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients. They will agree protocols and guidelines to provide nursing treatments independently and in partnership with nurse colleagues and general practitioners. A prescription qualified nurse will use prescribing qualifications appropriately.
Clinical responsibilities include:
* Identify, assess and diagnose patients with complex health needs across the Practice population.
* Work with others to change policies to improve health and well‑being and reduce inequalities.
* Assist with the implementation and evaluation of evidence‑based practice to improve the services offered by the Practice nursing team.
* Assist with management of chronic diseases, wound care, health screening, travel health, immunisations (adult and child), cytology.
* Stock maintenance and ordering.
* Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post.

Qualifications required
* Professional registration with the NMC – Nursing & Midwifery Council.
* Cervical Screening, Chronic Disease Management, Baby Immunisations.

Person Specification
First level nurse or relevant nursing/health degree, professional registration with the NMC.
