We employ around 150 people, based in the city of York, in the Hudson Quarter, directly opposite York railway station – the very heart of the UK rail industry.
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Copywriter to join our Studio team.
As part of the in-house Studio team, your role is to create memorable, shareable copy and content, inspiring and informing our audiences in a way that brings our brands to life. You'll be at home creating a wide range of content, including but not limited to long and short form copy, SEO copy and social media posts across all channels. As a true creative champion, you'll collaborate with other creatives, positively challenge and help develop clear and focused briefs, making it your mission to understand our audience and the purpose of the communication so you can create content that is both compelling and impactful.
Working with the copy lead, Studio Manager and across the business, you'll be responsible for raising the creative bar and being part of a team of passionate and proud experts in their field.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering a salary of up to £32,000 per year. This role does offer hybrid-working, but we're looking for someone who can come into the business four days a week, so a commutable distance is essential.
What we're looking for:
· A degree or professional qualification in an appropriate discipline
· Experience in writing across all areas, from print to digital, including websites, emails, blogs, social media
· A confident and proficient user of InDesign
· A strong body of work that demonstrates your creativity and passion for writing
· A natural collaborator who enjoys working in a team
· High levels of literacy with exceptionally high attention to detail and accuracy
· Experience of working in either an agency or in-house environment
· The ability to communicate ideas, decisions, and reasoning clearly and confidently
· A genuine passion for travel and a love of storytelling
