About The Role
We have an opportunity to join AMFresh as we embark on an exciting period of growth for our Skelmersdale site.
Joining our existing team of Engineers, we are looking to recruit an experienced Engineer with an Electrical Bias.
* Shift: Rotating, 6-2, 2-10, 10-6 shifts – Monday to Friday – plus overtime
* Salary: Competitive
* Location: Skelmersdale, WN8 9TQ
You will be an electrically biased multi-skilled engineer with experience in the food industry preferred.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude who will have the following responsibilities:
* Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance and condition monitoring for key equipment across manufacturing areas to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
* Prioritize reactive maintenance and respond promptly to breakdowns to maximize equipment uptime.
* Support and promote TPM programs and assist in training colleagues, adhering to H&S and legislative standards.
* Report any damage suspected to be caused by misuse of equipment to line management.
* Ensure maintenance tools and equipment comply with Health & Safety regulations and report issues to the Engineering Manager.
* Assist with additional maintenance tasks across UK sites as requested.
About You
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in electrical maintenance
* HNC/HND in electrical maintenance
* Electrical regulation BS7671, 17th or 18th edition
* Time served, C&G, or BTEC qualification
Experience in maintenance within high-volume, fast-paced environments, ideally in the Fresh Produce or Horticultural sectors.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while delivering excellent customer service.
Capable of working independently and completing tasks within given instructions and routines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Proven track record in driving continuous improvement activities.
Strong planning and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Flexible approach to work.
Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery.
UK Driver's License required.
