Are you an experienced manager within social housing planned works? We’re looking for a proactive and people‑focused Section Manager to lead our planned works delivery across multiple workstreams including Kitchens & Bathrooms, Roofing, Heating, Windows & Doors, and Communal Decorations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Tier 1 contractor committed to delivering safe, high‑quality homes and great customer service.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing day‑to‑day operational delivery of planned maintenance schemes across assigned workstreams
* Leading and supporting site teams to ensure excellent standards, safe working practices, and strong performance
* Overseeing quality, compliance, programme, resource planning, and productivity
* Building strong relationships with residents, client teams, and internal colleagues
* Ensuring works are carried out to specification, on time, and within budget
* Maintaining accurate records, progress reports, and H&S documentation
* Driving a positive, inclusive, and customer‑first culture on site
What We’re Looking For
* Experience delivering planned works within social housing (ideal but not essential)
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams
* Knowledge across a range of workstreams (K&B, roofing, heating, windows/doors, decorating)
* A focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
* Organised, calm under pressure, and confident communicating with residents and stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
* SSSTS or SMSTS (essential)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Trade/technical background desirable
* Experience within social housing repairs or planned maintenance highly advantageous
