Location: Long Eaton
Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum, dependent upon experience

Your Role
As our Principal Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the children and young people we care for. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting and deputizing for the Registered Manager as needed
* Supervising team members to ensure effective functioning
* Empowering foster parents to reach their full potential
* Monitoring compliance with fostering standards
* Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and professionals to prioritize safeguarding and positive outcomes
* Joining an out-of-hours rota to provide managerial support
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced social worker with a passion for making a difference. Here’s what you need:
* A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent
* Experience working with children and young people, including Children Looked After
* A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and fostering standards
* A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car
Key Skills
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously
* Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships
* A thorough understanding of trauma-informed approaches
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices
