Purpose of job: My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join their procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing goods and services for the company and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services. The Buyer will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and optimise purchasing activities. Day to Day responsibilities: Manage New Supplier Requests and conduct due diligence. Work with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs. Research and identify potential suppliers, evaluate their products or services, and compare prices and quality. Place purchase orders and manage delivery of goods and services to ensure timely delivery and accurate quantities. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers. Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities including contracts, purchase order and delivery schedules. Manage Contract Database Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost savings opportunities and process improvements. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing activities.
