Crystal Specialist Finance is a mortgage packager operating across bridging, commercial, buy to let, residential and development finance. For this role we are seeking an enthusiastic and personable sales person to engage our brokers and provide solutions for complex financial scenarios.
The New Business Advisor will drive new business by managing broker relationships, generating enquiries, and supporting deal progression from initial contact to enquiry submission. This role combines proactive outreach with retention efforts, ensuring brokers receive consistent, high-value engagement to maximise both new and retained opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Broker Outreach and Enquiry Generation:
* Achieve a minimum of 200 enquiries/month, contributing to the team's current 50 enquiries/day goal from this department
* Conduct a minimum of 4 hours/day on live calls (excluding voicemails), targeting 100% broker panel Right Party Contact (RPC) monthly.
* Limit contact to 3 calls/month per account with RPC; no RPC follow-ups scheduled beyond 24 hours unless justified (e.g., broker on holiday).
* Use of SMS and Email only permitted in support of a RPC call.
* Retention and Lead Conversion:
* Record Broker fact find updates on 100% of RPC calls, supporting the Product Expiry Pipeline in converting retained brokers into enquiries on expiring deals.
* Target 75% lead-to-enquiry conversion
* Liaise with Underwriters to support deal placement.
* Lead Chasing:
* Follow up 100% of leads within a maximum of 24 hours (unless justified, e.g., holiday), with a minimum of 3 contact attempts per lead before escalation or closure.
* Use a contact strategy blending calls (max 3/month with RPC), emails, and SMS (via existing tools), coordinating with Field BDMs for appointment handoffs as and when required.
Skills required
Minimum of two years experience in tele sales or telephone account management.
Knowledge of the specialist finance or mortgage sector is desirable.
Good communication skills and telephone technique.
Attention to detail and accurate note keeping.
Use of CRM systems.
