Published 06.02.2026Company : Safran Electrical & Power Job field : Industrial Engineering Location : Sl1 4ry , England , United Kingdom Contract type : Permanent Contract duration : Full-time Professional status : Professional, Engineer & Manager# RIE / 001-180884Published 06.02.2026Job DescriptionLead the industrialisation of new projects from concept through to production and re-industrialisation of existing products triggered by major changes.Engage internal and external resources to ensure new projects are delivered on time, cost, and quality in line with the project requirements or objectives.Develop and improve manufacturing processes through an understanding of product design specifications and manufacturing methods.II.Essential Duties and Responsibilities1.Lead and Manage New ProjectsLead and manage new projects using the structured gated process.Ensure that processes and procedures comply with regulations, certifications, and best practices.2.Lead Design and IntroductionLead the design and introduction of new processes and equipment into production.Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for manufacture of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance or aid manufacturing processes.3.Project ManagementUnderstand, define, and agree the objectives of the project with the relevant Manager (Engineering, Program, or Product).Produce data and documentation to support reporting (VSM, PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, etc.).Communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage action lists, and ensure project objectives are met (costs, quality, timelines).4.Create Tool and Fixture Design2D/3D CAD modelsDefinition of machine requirementsCommissioning plansProof of concepts (3D printing)5.Manufacturing ProcessesDevelop manufacturing processes aligned with best practices.Recommend procedures and modifications to improve efficiency, techniques, and yields.Estimate costs, set time standards, and recommend tooling/process requirements for new and existing lines.6.Communication & ReportingReport on industrialisation delivery and KPIs.Visually manage capacity and priorities.Report progress, major issues, risks, and opportunities to Engineering Manager and stakeholders.7.Engagement with the TeamBe an active team member, participate in cross-functional teams, and train/support less experienced members.Advocate for and implement best practices.Ensure procedures are followed and appropriate documentation is completed.Occasional travel within the UK and overseas.8.Environmental / SustainabilityImprove sustainability of processes (e.g. packaging).Lead (re)industrialisation of projects impacted by environmental regulation (e.g. REACH).9.REACH Compliance ResponsibilitiesMonitor REACH requirements relevant to products, materials, and manufacturing processes, including Substances of Very High ConcernJob RequirementsMechanical / Industrial EngineeringAerospace /Automotive / Manufacturing EnvironmentIndustrialisation / Production EngineeringStrong knowledge of aviation industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.REACH Regulation (EU 1907/2006)Material Declarations (IMDS, BOM compliance)Support New Product Introduction (NPI)Define and Validate manufacturing processesDefine and Validate Special processes (Coating, bonding, plating, etc)Process Risk Assessments (PFMEALead STEERCO MeetingsIndustrial Ready ReviewsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.But what else?
