An exciting opportunity has arisen within Children Speech and Language Therapy Service for a Team Administrator. The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to the team. The role will involve the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced administrator who is an excellent communicator, organised and able to work well under pressure. The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to the teams. The role will involve the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems. The post holder will often be the first point of contact and a focal point for the services requiring clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative.
You should be competent in word processing RSA 3/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, organised and possess a recognised educational standard in English and Maths and/or equivalent demonstrable skills i.e. good command and understanding of English language/literature and numerical skills. Experience of general office procedures is also desirable. Excellent keyboard and data inputting skills are needed as is the understanding of the importance in maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications
* GCSE Grade C/5 minimum standard or functional skills level 2 - in English Language and Maths or equivalent experience
* Recognised computing/typing qualification (RSA II/OCR II/ECDL) or equivalent skills
* Diploma in business Administration
Experience
* Significant administrative and clerical experience
* Experience of maintaining and developing effective administrative systems
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
* Knowledge of the NHS and how it functions
* Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills; able to deal confidently with people at all levels
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Working within a community health services setting
* Experience of using Emis appointments and referrals system
