We're working with a leading infrastructure contractor who is seeking an organised and proactive Plant Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with strong plant hire experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 40hrs, Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £37,000 P/A

As Plant Coordinator, you'll manage the full cycle of plant hire for a major tram infrastructure project based in Birmingham - from arranging internal/external hire to tracking equipment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring supplier performance. You'll work closely with site teams, procurement, and suppliers to keep projects running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange hire and off-hire of all plant and tools via the internal system
Maintain accurate records, hire tickets, and plant trackers
Monitor supplier performance and report any issues
Track plant locations and investigate discrepancies immediately
Record and report costs for repairs, losses, and damages
Carry out regular plant audits and ensure compliance with PUWER/LOLER regulations
About You:
Proven experience in plant coordination within infrastructure or construction projects
Knowledge of PUWER/LOLER regulations
Strong commercial awareness and budget monitoring skills
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Confident in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
Full UK driving licence desirable
