Closing Date: 24 July 2025 The Role You will play a key role in the coordination of two clinical research projects) related to the Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophies, specifically Jain COS Study and Jain COS PrePARED. The Jain COS Study is a long running international clinical research study investigating the natural history of LGMD2B with 12 sites in 8 different countries. We have now secured funding for an additional 4 years. The Jain COS PrePARED study is a new local single site research study with international patient recruitment. The Project Coordinator will support the project manager and Chief Investigator to coordinate the patient experience on both studies. They will play a key role in providing accurate and detailed information to all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of these studies and maximise the learning and impact generated by this research. If you would like to have a conversation about this opportunity, please contact heather.hilsden@ncl.ac.uk Key Accountabilities Act as the main point of contact for Jain COS Study participant/ patient communications Take overall responsibility for coordinating study visits at Newcastle according to local SOPS, including travel, liaising with all local stakeholders (MRI, CRC, Gait, CARU, CRF) and lead on local data entry and response to data queries for COS and COS PrePARED.Support other colleagues as back up with other study visit planning. Independently organise and take full responsibility for the logistical planning and delivery of project meetings with the network of sites involved in the project e.g. the Investigator meetings and travel and conference booking/management for project members. Work collaboratively and liaise effectively with internal and external partners including the JWMDRC staff involved in the projects, the external collaborators and the funders of both projects supporting with quality assurance activities as required. Organise internal and external activities and events relating to the programme of work including, regular conference calls and meetings between key stakeholders in the project. Prepare agendas, take responsibility for action points and follow up of outstanding items Maintain up to date project records, contacts and mailing lists including the site files for Newcastle and support for the Trial Master Files. Work closely with the Biobank manager to ensure the transfer of samples collected through this study are shipped appropriately to the centre Oversee the COS PrePARED project budget towards defined objectives to ensure that finances are appropriately and efficiently managed and claimed. Lead on the COS budget lines for travel and expenses, both for meetings and participant travel.
