Job Description
As the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, complete and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
3. Preparation of monthly internal entity reporting for Board review.
4. Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy against third‑party support.
5. Management of the treasury function, including 13‑week cash flow forecasting, foreign currency activity, bank administration and ID facility oversight.
6. Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
7. Leading the external audit process, coordinating queries and ensuring timely completion.
8. Preparation of statutory accounts for the group, supporting the annual audit and Companies House submissions.
9. Managing and developing the Financial Accounts Assistant, providing technical support and fostering a high‑performance culture.
10. Supporting wider finance projects and contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
11. ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
12. Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in statutory accounts, VAT and audit.
13. Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and delivering accurate month‑end reporting.
14. Treasury, cash flow forecasting or banking administration experience (desirable).
15. Strong systems competency; experience with ERP systems advantageous
16. Confident communication skills and the ability to liaise with auditors and senior stakeholders.
