Overview

Be among the first 25 applicants to join Together Housing Group’s team in Salford. This temporary contract lasts a minimum of 12 weeks and offers the chance to support residents through planned improvement works.


Pay

Salary: £29,360 per annum. 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years of service) plus bank holidays (pro‑rated). Additional benefits include pension schemes, health and wellbeing support, and a range of financial and lifestyle benefits.


Responsibilities

* Inform customers on all aspects of planned improvement works, including time‑scales, contractor details, expected disturbance, and potential risks.
* Collect customers’ colour and material choices and ensure they receive sufficient copies of plans, designs, and manufacturer literature.
* Conduct home visits to assist with the consultation process.
* Prepare display boards and publicity material; run events or presentations during consultation stages.
* Advise customers on material choices, heating costs, insulation, security, and functionality, giving them the opportunity to make informed decisions.
* Coordinate with Project Coordinators and contractors to ensure customers’ choices and documentation are delivered on time.
* Arrange alternative respite accommodation for customers who cannot remain in their homes during works, including liaising with relatives, care workers, occupational therapists, and other agencies.
* Attend meetings with staff, contractors, and customers to contribute to effective programme delivery and recommend appropriate actions.
* Handle customer enquiries over the telephone, face‑to‑face, and in writing; resolve disputes or refer them to the team as necessary.


Qualifications and Experience

* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Experience working within a customer service environment, particularly dealing with difficult customers and keeping them informed.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and keep others informed of progress.
* Proficiency in ICT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work unsupervised, using initiative and taking ownership to resolve problems promptly.
