Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of Mechanical Equipment. The role requires full lifecycle project ownership, from contract award to client handover, ensuring technical delivery, programme control, and client satisfaction. This is a senior role suited to a commercially aware individual with a background in building services, or mechanical project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of mechanical equipment from handover to completion.
Define and manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources.
Serve as primary client point of contact, coordinating with consultants and main contractors.
Chair internal and client facing project progress meetings.
Oversee technical submittals, design coordination, and procurement status.
Manage change control and variations.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure deliverables.
Ensure delivery of documentation, QA packs, and commissioning support as required.
Experience and Skills Required:
Proven experience managing M&E or Engineering projects in construction/fabrication.
Sound understanding of building services systems, and fabrication workflows.
Experience delivering projects for contractors or technical clients.
Competent in interpreting P&IDs, layout drawings, and specifications.
Able to manage multiple disciplines and suppliers within tight timelines.
Strong commercial awareness and contract administration experience.
Certifications/Technical Knowledge:
Familiar with CDM Regulations and UK construction safety standards.
SMSTS, CSCS or equivalent safety training preferred.
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and project QA/QC requirements.
