Commercial Gas Engineer / Chiller and Boiler Specialist Engineer
We are currently working on behalf of a highly respected specialist hire company who are looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer / Chiller and Boiler Specialist Engineer.Our client operates nationwide, supporting commercial, industrial, private, and public sector clients with temporary heating, cooling, and hot water solutions. With ambitious growth plans and a commitment to innovation, they are now seeking a driven and knowledgeable individual to support the ongoing development of their operations.The Role:The successful candidate will join a supportive and experienced team, working across a variety of sites installing, maintaining, and servicing commercial temporary boiler systems and air-cooled chillers. You will also be involved in modifying existing pipework in older plant rooms.Key Duties Include:
* Installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial temporary boilers and chillers
* Diagnosing and resolving faults on chilled water systems, AHUs, and forced draft burners
* Modifying existing plant room pipework
* Regular travel to client sites - a company vehicle will be provided
* Supporting less experienced engineers and contributing to ongoing training
* Ensuring all works are completed in line with safety and compliance standards
Key Requirements:
* Strong background in commercial mechanical systems, including:
* LTHW systems
* Chilled water systems
* Natural gas and oil-fired boiler systems
* Control wiring and electrical services
* Experience with air-cooled chillers and AHUs
* Relevant qualifications, including:
* Commercial Gas Safe certification
* F-Gas refrigeration certification
* Full UK driving licence
* Based locally to either the Kent or Redditch depot
* Flexibility to support call-out rota and emergency work as required
