Responsibilities
:
1. Generate Property & Casualty New Business whilst writing within risk selection, appetite and underwriting authority
2. Adherence to the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities arising
3. Achieve Bottom Line, Top Line and Expense targets by managing and operating to the Key Performance Indicators of the region
4. Enhance Arch's standing and presence locally by establishing and maintaining strong personal relationships with key directors and staff at the Region's most important brokers.
5. Display strong negotiation skills that aid conversion and relationships with our key brokers.
6. Contribute to the technical knowledge of thepany by feeding back technical andmercial market intelligence to the Regional Manager and wider team
7. Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, especially with the claims and surveyor teams, when required.
Required Skills and Experience:
8. At least 2 years' experience in underwriting
9. New Business Underwriting preferred
10. Proven broker relationships
11. Proven Track Record in underwriting development
12. Ability to negotiate flexibly and appropriately
13. Effective selling skills
14. Pricing of risk accordingly
15. Successfully developing effective trading relationships
16. Consistent achieving of goals and objectives
17. Experience working across functions / matrix organisation to collaborate and build strong relationships
18. Operational Effectiveness and efficiency
19. Clear and effectivemunication
Desired Skills/Experience
20. the job holder wil have at least 2 years' experience in themercial Insurance industry., strong interpersonal skills and work in a structured, organised and planned manner
Education
21. Minimum 3 Scottish Highers / A Level standard
22. Professional Certification - progress towards ACII preferred
23. Full clean driving license
