Salary: £37,080 + shift allowance of £5,000

Role Overview:
A flexible role to cover maintenance and breakdown tasks, with work to be carried out as required to meet the business needs of the client.
What you'll do:
* Provide general building services maintenance support on all buildings and plant, with emphasis on plumbing.
* Implement all mechanical maintenance and corrective works on the site in accordance with Maintenance Instructions, EMCOR, and site-specific procedures.
* Perform testing and inspecting of mechanical systems according to industry standards.
* Provide accurate feedback and information, including completed test sheets, routine inspection sheets, and work dockets with durations and observations.
* Ensure all plant and systems are maintained for maximum efficiency, availability, and reliability.
* Carry out remedial and refurbishment works arising from breakdowns or inspections.
* Respond to reactive maintenance/breakdown calls for the helpdesk and carry out remedial work as necessary, providing feedback to customers and helpdesk.
* Assume the role of Competent Person (mechanical) as authorized by the Authorised Person Controller.
* Develop knowledge of site system failures, causes, and effects.
* Carry out condition-based monitoring surveys.
* Carry out minor new works installations and testing.
* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of plant and adjacent areas.
* Undertake defect surveys on electrical plant and systems, providing reports as requested.
* Assist the mechanical Supervisor with technical and incident reports.
* Develop knowledge of site generation plant to provide monitoring during emergency or test runs.
* Provide holiday and sickness cover for shift colleagues.
* Perform other duties as agreed with EMCOR management.
Who you'll be:
* Plumbing bias preferred.
* Relevant C&G, BTEC Level 3, ONC/OND, or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline.
* Qualified and/or trained in other building service disciplines including HVCA, with proven experience in a building service environment.
* Articulate, numerate, and IT literate.
* Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law preferred.
* Commercial awareness is advantageous.
* Good knowledge of Facility Management and Building Services Engineering.
* Ability to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and operational performance.
* Thorough understanding of health & safety regulations.
* Strong decision-making and communication skills.
* Resilient under pressure, confident in communicating with staff, suppliers, and customers at all levels.
