Casual Kitchen Assistant
Hourly Rate: £12.21
Closing Date: 7th July 2025
Responsible to: Cook / Home Manager
Key objectives:
* To ensure a consistently high standard of kitchen cleanliness and food preparation
* To be aware of the residents dietary requirements and hydration needs
Main Tasks:
Kitchen duties
* Manage cleaning procedures and schedules for the Kitchen
* Undertake basic food and drink preparation as directed by the Cook
* Transport heated food trolleys to relevant dining areas
* Responsible for the daily use of catering equipment
* Ensure correct use of all equipment and products in line with COSHH requirements
* Handle deliveries and store items appropriately
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and store areas
* Comply with food safety regulations and complete relevant records
General duties
* Observe good food hygiene practices at all times
* Follow all relevant regulations and policies
* Follow procedures in case of accidents or emergencies
General Requirements:
* Attend staff meetings and training sessions
* Maintain confidentiality
* Perform duties as requested by the Manager
* Follow safe working practices
* Promote equal opportunities
