Multi-Trade Operative
Location: Covering predominantly North Devon, TA & EX Post Codes, South West
Salary: £34,376 - £36,185 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Voids team, covering different sites across the South West. You will work as part of a team, with some lone working required. Tasks are mainly in domestic properties, including bricklaying, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance. A company van and power tools will be provided, and you will travel to our void properties from your home address.
Role Responsibilities:
* Carrying out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
* Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and restocking as needed.
* Responding positively to complaints and service breakdowns, resolving problems or initiating solutions, and keeping customers informed.
* Providing accurate and timely updates on work progress in an understandable manner.
Skills and Experience:
* Qualifications or ongoing training towards NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical) or Level 3 in Plumbing, including Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). Original certification must be presented during interview.
* Awareness of health and safety regulations and legislation.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and plan ahead.
* Valid UK driving license for operating a company vehicle.
