Orchard House Family Assessment Centre and Somerset Clinic are looking for a highly organised, detail‑driven Finance Assistant to join our friendly and committed team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support the financial governance of two respected organisations and play a key role in ensuring we can continue delivering safe, effective services for families, children, and commissioners nationwide.
About the Companies
The Finance Assistant will work across our two companies:
Orchard House Family Assessment Centre provides ‘outstanding’ [latest Ofsted Inspection, 2025] residential and community-based parenting assessments, alongside psychological and other related assessments to Family Courts and Local Authorities nationwide.
Somerset Clinic is an independent provider of responsive psychological services for both adults and children in need of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will work across both organisations and support all aspects of day‑to‑day financial operations, including:
* Accounts payable and receivable
* Processing invoices
* Data entry and bank reconciliation
* Supporting payroll
* Assisting with management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
* Managing petty cash and reconciliations
* Credit control
* Working closely with the wider admin/finance team
* Providing accurate, timely financial support to keep the organisation running smoothly
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have:
✔ Strong Excel and IT skills
✔ Excellent attention to detail
✔ Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
✔ Clear, confident communication skills
✔ A positive, flexible approach and desire to contribute to a small, supportive team
✔ Working towards or holding an AAT qualification (or equivalent experience)
Experience with payroll or Mac systems is a bonus, but not essential.
