Activities enjoyed :
* M&D’s is a particular favourite of the service user. He loves any theme park or carnival and tends to go here on a few occasions each week. Particularly the Halloween events & Christmas events
* Go Karting and virtual reality
* Being out in his car for a drive
* Occasionally enjoys going for a sunbed
* Enjoys spending time on his computer playing specific games and finding out if there are any carnivals to attend.
About Them:
The service user is 27, he has Ataxic Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disability, and Autism spectrum Disorder. The individual can display challenging behaviour when triggered due to the complexities of his mental health, which may include signs of apprehension and/or aggression. Strategies such as PRN protocol are in place to ensure safety for both staff and the service user. There is significant input from the learning disability team, family, and social work to support staff with challenges faced. The service user is mobile but utilizes a wheelchair when out in the community. He is nonverbal but communicates effectively using assistive technology. Support staff will receive training in managing challenging behaviours and will shadow shifts with experienced team members.

Our site is accessible, with no stairs within the vicinity. The service user's home is a ground-floor flat in Birkenshaw, Uddingston, equipped with bathroom facilities and onsite parking for workers during scheduled shifts.
