Bennett & Game are working with a well‑established, multidisciplinary Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy seeking a Structural Engineer with 2+ years’ experience to join their growing Hemel Hempstead office. Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Assist in the delivery of structural engineering projects across a range of sectors
* Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
* Work on designs in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
* Collaborate with senior engineers, technicians, and external stakeholders
* Attend design team meetings with architects, clients, and contractors
* Support project delivery from initial concept through to construction
* Contribute to sustainable and efficient design solutions
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and CDM requirements
* Utilise design software such as Tekla, Tedds, or similar
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Minimum 2+ years’ UK consultancy experience
* Working towards Chartered status (IStructE or ICE)
* Experience designing in a range of traditional materials
* Good understanding of structural design principles and building structures
* Familiarity with industry software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD)
* Exposure to BIM environments is advantageous
* Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
