The Finance Manager Commercial & Reporting is the business partner for the Commercial and ITC (Invoice to Cash) functions including Sales, Treasury and Commercial Finance to ensure they meet group’s controls and defined procedures. This role works closely with and mentors a GCC based offshore senior analyst to ensure all their processes are performed and reviewed as needed. This role, in conjunction with the Commercial Controller, is the business partner for the shared services functions such as HR, Legal, Finance, Marketing and Admin.
Key responsibilities
1. Manage operational transaction processing for General Ledger (GL) across the Commercial and marketing, selling, general and administration (MSG&A) defined accounts; ensure integrity of GL transactions processing.
2. Perform structured and ad hoc deep dives into P&L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure compliance with Global and Local accounting standards.
3. Analytical support: AR Aging & Cash Allocation, Bad Debt Provision & Forecast.
4. Coordinate commercial related issues: Sales reversals, Sales returns, Bad Debt, AR monitoring.
5. Work with ITC to suggest improvements on process that will affect AR and Trade spend controls and reporting.
6. Work with Sales Finance team to provide analytical support and insights of actuals.
7. Provide development and guidance to the Senior Analyst.
8. Work with the Shared Services teams toprovidetechnical advice,guidanceand any process improvement recommendations.
9. Work with the Reporting Controller during key audit timelines to ensure integrity of all our financial statements.
10. Work with the wider teams across F&C, HR, Legal, Marketing, Sales & operations to ensure that all necessary audit related files are shared with our external auditors.
11. Work closely with the Internal Controls team to ensure that all necessary compliance tasks are being adhered to.
12. Adhere to all company financial policies and procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
13. Completion of month-end processes and production of key internal financial statements including profit and loss, balancesheetand cash flow.
14. Completion of month end and quarterly commentary requests for Commercial and MSG&A related accounts.
15. Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders to resolve queries/issuesas necessary.
16. Periodicallyassistwith independent testing for Sarbanes-Oxley (Sox) certification.
17. Assiston the external audit process.
18. Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations (commercial & SG&A related accounts)in accordance withKHC Financial Policy.
19. Identification of potential problems and risks for management’s attention.
20. Standardization of existing processes and implementation of new processes with a keen eye for utilising excel for automation
21. Explain the balance sheet flux on a YOY, MOM & YTD basis for accounts assigned by the Commercial Controller and provide actionable commentary.
22. Work and deliver projects as per agreed timelines thatassistin insightful decision making.
23. Be proficient in IFRS and SOX standards and challenge processes that do not adhere to guidelines.
24. Ensure that no repeated audit findings are discovered in an internal audit assignment.
25. Ensure all external audit requirements are followed uptimelyand accurately and no delays to any requests.
26. Financial statements are preparedin accordance withcompany policies and US GAAP.
27. Results presented to Management toassistin the conclusion of the monthly results.
28. Commentary providedin a timely mannergiving meaningful insights through the provision of relevant business drivers.
29. All issues/reconciliations are cleared ina timelybasis.
30. Ensureaccurateaccounting guidance is provided whenrequired.
31. Timely completion of testing.
32. Meet the Financial Statutory report submission on time
What you'll bring
33. Minimum 7 years’ experience working in accounting or similar.
34. Big 4 or second tier public practice experience(desired)
35. Exposure to working in a large corporate or professional accounting environment(desired).
36. Has strong attention to detail anddemonstratesability to think logically.
37. Ability to effectively communicate with theappropriate levelsof management in both oral and written form. Communication style is clear,preciseand logical.
38. Ability to perform under pressure and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to meet deadlines.
39. A “Team Player”demonstratingaptitude for collaboration and ability to develop and foster good working relationships with other departments.
40. Self-motivated, able to plan and manage own resources toaccomplishset tasks.
41. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
42. Major ERP system exposure such as BPCS/SAP.
43. Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and principles.
44. Knowledge of US accounting standards andprinciples. (desired)
45. Undergraduate business degree.
46. Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, CA or equivalent)
