A welcoming mainstream primary school in Sunderland is seeking a BSL Communication Support Assistant to support deaf pupils within a classroom setting.
The Role
You will act as a communication bridge between the teacher and students, ensuring full access to the curriculum.
Key Duties
* Interpret lessons into BSL
* Support understanding and participation in classroom activities
* Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning materials
* Promote inclusion and independence
Ideal Candidate
* BSL Level 2+
* Experience working with children
* Confident, engaging, and patient

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
