Our client is looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to join their team in Telford. As a Senior Controls Engineer Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering engineering work packages, ensuring successful project delivery by designing and implementing control systems, optimising processes, and supporting testing phases to meet client requirements and industry standards.
* Understand client needs and develop electrical/controls concept designs (e.g., Functional Design Specification, Single Line Diagram, Cause & Effect Matrix).
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
* Collaborate with the Hardware Design team, reviewing designs and handing over specifications.
* Create Software Design Specifications and deliverables for PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other systems.
* Contribute to the Technical Construction File and support Factory Acceptance Testing, Commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing.
* Follow internal processes and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements - Senior Controls Engineer
* Minimum HND/Foundation Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of control system design and implementation principles.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
