Senior Service Technician – Solar PV & BESS

Responsibilities
As a Senior Service Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert responsible for keeping the solar and BESS sites running safely, efficiently and at peak performance. You’ll work closely with regional colleagues, control engineers and asset operations teams to diagnose faults, carry out planned maintenance, and ensure the sites remain safe, compliant and high performing.

This role includes responding to planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, resolution and reporting. This role requires participation in a weekend on-call rota.
The successful candidate will need to be based in Essex.
Duties
·Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical and structural systems.
·Diagnosing and resolving faults across Solar PV & BESS assets.
·Completing inspections, reports, work orders and maintaining strong site records.
·Manging site and vehicle stock, ensuring safe site inductions and supporting safe systems of work.
·Supervising contractors, delivering site inductions and supporting safe systems of work.
·Taking part in a on call rota (weekends)
·Traveling occasionally to other regions, including overnight stays when required.
·Taking part in training and the opportunity to oversee training.
Required Skills
·Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer (BS7671).
·2391/52 or working towards.
·Strong background in Solar PV installation and maintenance, utility scale is ideal.
·Experience with inverters/PCS (SMA, Sungrow, Power Electronics, Gamsea ETC) Highley desirable.
·HV experience preferred (switchgear, transformers, AP/SAP training up to 33kV advantage).
·Full clean UK driving license.
·Proactive attitude, good communications.
