Who we are looking for
We are looking for a part-time Environmental Health Officer to join our forward-thinking Food and Safety team, although we will also consider your application if you are a Technical Officer. Your varied role includes:
* Food safety inspections
* Health and safety and accident investigations
* Infectious disease control
* Skin piercing registration
* Caravan site licensing
* Investigation of complaints
If you are an enthusiastic and innovative EHO, you will positively contribute to driving the service forward. You will need to use your own initiative, be proactive and work well in a team and alone.
Qualifications
EHO minimum requirement: a BSc or MSc degree or equivalent in Environmental Health.
For EHTO applicants: 3 A levels (including 1 science) or an equivalent BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in a science subject and a Higher Certificate in Food Control/Food Premises Inspection.
General
* Current technical and working knowledge of food and safety matters
* NEBOSH Diploma or Certificate (advantage)
* Member of the CIEH (advantage)
