Responsibilities
As Production Manager, you will:
Line & Workflow Management
* Plan and allocate production resources with the Client Operations Manager, maintaining capacity and forecasting whilst handling short notice pivots.
* Work closely with the Project Director to ensure requests for production resource are being appropriately planned and scheduled, and that those resources are well briefed at the appropriate time.
* Line manage a small in-house team; run check-ins, appraisals and development plans. Onboard, brief, support and QA freelancers.
* Actively support an inclusive and supportive culture that encourages collaboration and creativity across our team.
* Provide clear communication and feedback loops across production and wider teams.
Quality Control & Operational Excellence
* Ensure all production outputs are being delivered to the highest possible standards, working with the Commercial and Project Directors to ensure the necessary resources to undertake QC are being appropriately built into estimates and plans.
* Maintain and improve studio processes for briefing, version control, approvals and delivery.
* Ensure appropriate QC time is built into estimates and schedules; run post-project debriefs and feed improvements back into the process.
* Champion the effective use of workflow / agency management tools, such as Synergist, Zoom, Dropbox and Jira.
* Ensure best practices in managing files, assets, and documentation for efficiency and compliance.
* Ensure the production team are utilising the digital tools in place to manage their work and time.
* Support the commercial team in response to proposals for new business, developing and costing solutions.
* Track studio workflow across multiple streams, flagging risks and bottlenecks early and helping teams to problem-solve.
* Support adherence to compliance and regulatory standards in healthcare and pharma communications and accessibility legislation. (E.g. ABPI Code / PCMPA guidance & GDPR)
Commercials and Change Control
* Protect scope and facilitate price change requests; support proposals with production solutions, including estimates and timelines.
About you
We are seeking someone who brings:
Essential
* Proven experience in studio and traffic management, or as a production or operations lead, within a digital agency or creative agency.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams simultaneously.
* Demonstrable command of resourcing, scheduling, estimating and change control.
* Numerate and commercially aware, comfortable with utilisation and margin
* Experience balancing excellence with practical delivery requirements.
* Confident with Figma/Adobe CC, PowerPoint/Keynote, Synergist/Jira (or equivalent) and collaboration tools (MS Teams/SharePoint/Dropbox)
* Experience working with content writers, designers, presentation designers, UX designers, and developers who produce work across the following mediums:
* Presentations and reports (PowerPoint)
* Video (live and animated)
* Brand design and implementation
* Websites, intranets and apps
* Social posts, emails and display ads
* Print (such as exhibition stands)
Desirable
* Experience in healthcare/pharma communications and the ABPI environment
* Awareness of learning-design tooling (Articulate Storyline/Captivate) and AI video (e.g. Synthesia)

Job Type:
Part-time: 16-20 hrs per week. We are open to different working patterns, but ideally 4hrs per day over 4 or 5 days per week.
Permanent: Freelance Contract Considered
Salary or Fee: £Competitive; available on request
Location: Congleton HQ hybrid / remote considered within the UK, with occasional on-site collaboration (e.g. 2 /3 days a month)
