We are excited to offer fantastic opportunities for newly qualified and HCPC registered Occupational Therapists / return to practice OTs to join our team.
You should be a reflective practitioner with good communication skills and the ability to manage your own caseload.
Opportunities include 8-month rotations across various clinical areas such as: acute Stroke, Medical/surgical, Elective & trauma/orthopaedics, Children's (community), Neighbourhood Team (community), Hospital @ Home urgent response (community), community neuro, and wheelchair services.
Our team is committed to high-quality, evidence-based, reflective practice and supports this through a comprehensive supervision structure, including a developed Preceptorship Programme aligned with the RCOT Career Development Framework, alongside the Trust-wide preceptorship for nursing and AHPs. We have experienced Occupational Therapy Technical Instructors and Assistant Practitioners.
Main duties of the job
1. Work across the Trust in inpatient and community settings, including the independent living services with Herefordshire Council, which encompasses the home improvement agency and technology-enabled living team, including major adaptations.
2. Manage your own patient caseload independently, demonstrating clinical autonomy depending on your experience.
3. Weekend working is involved in some rotations as part of our commitment to a 7-day service. You will work weekends once you complete the necessary competencies and training.
4. Strong links exist between acute and community teams, with a Trust-wide Preceptorship Programme. All Band 5 staff are encouraged to participate in a Band 5 Peer group.

Person Specification
Education & Qualifications (Essential):
* Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (Essential):
* Broad knowledge of relevant patient conditions and therapy interventions
* Knowledge of core Occupational Therapy skills
* Ongoing CPD evidence
* Experience with multidisciplinary communication, assessments, and record keeping
* Computer skills including word processing and email
* Ability to make clinical decisions and problem-solve independently
* Manage a busy caseload and prioritize effectively
* Work autonomously, using knowledge, skills, and initiative, within role boundaries
Experience (Essential):
