Moulding Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Moulding Manager to become part of a thriving business and contribute to our ongoing success.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a full-time and permanent position. The working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm. The Company operates a flexible working policy, with office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday.

What is the role?
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, mentoring a team of skilled setters, and optimising the performance of industry-leading machinery including Engel, Wintec, Krauss Maffei, and Haitian. You will be responsible for a team of injection moulding setters. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
* managing the daily operations of the injection moulding department, ensuring efficient and high-quality production of plastic components.
* leading, mentoring, and developing a team of setters, ensuring adherence to best practices, company standards and health and safety procedures.
* optimising the performance and productivity of Engel, Wintec, Krauss Maffei and Haitian injection moulding machines, reducing downtime by implementing best practice and auditing procedures.
* monitoring and analysing production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality control.
* creating detailed and accurate justifications for capex spend.
* driving continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, to enhance operational effectiveness.
* coordinating with suppliers for machine spare parts and mould maintenance.
* reporting regularly to senior management on departmental performance, KPIs, and operational challenges during daily production meetings and period reviews.
* working closely with quality, engineering, tooling, and production to ensure defect free production, whilst minimising waste, downtime & scrap.
* working closely with production planning to optimise levels of tool changes and run quantities, maximising OEE.
* taking ownership of all new tooling trials to develop stable and reliable process parameters, working closely with both tooling and design to help optimise tool functionality and design.
* leading FAT and SAT validation activities on all new IMM and ancillaries.
* supporting and embedding the Loadhog Edge values.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience in injection moulding management and process optimisation.
* Hands-on expertise with Engel injection moulding machines and associated technologies, such as Viper/Sepro gantry robotics and 6 axis kuka robotics.
* Strong knowledge working with Engel presses ranging from 100t to 2,000t.
* Ability and experience in advising on mould design and material selection.
* Experience in leading and managing teams, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement efficient solutions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in process optimisation and continuous improvement.
* Experience implementing automated solutions from a moulding perspective.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations related to injection moulding and manufacturing environments.
* Proficiency in using production monitoring software and generating performance reports.
* Ability to extract required data from OEE system and interrogate to determine trends, thus understanding areas for improvement.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to read machine sensor data to help engineering better predict downtime trends for predictive maintenance procedures.
