About Our Client

Job Description
3. Preparation and delivery of group financial reports to parent company on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and being a key point of contact for queries.
4. Consolidation of business units and preparing monthly management accounts
5. Liaising with auditors on an interim and year end basis, and preparation of year end statutory accounts
6. Playing a key role in the implementation of new accounting standards
7. Being a key source of financial reporting 'expertise' for the business, and supporting the operational finance teams with any specific queries
8. Supporting the Group Reporting Manager with ad hoc projects and requests (e.g., annual impairment review and M&A activity)
9. Working to develop and maintain a robust set of financial controls, and drive process improvement initiatives and reporting enhancements
10. Preparation of ad hoc external returns such as Office for National Statistics returns
11. Ensuring the integrity of the ledgers in relation to the company structure, and chart of accounts management
12. Support with day-to-day requests from the Chief Financial Officer and/or Group Financial Controller
The Successful Applicant
13. Educated to degree level or equivalent
14. Qualified accountant with a practice background (ACA preferred)
15. Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, in particular IFRS
16. Ability to work effectively in a deadline intensive environment
17. Willingness to adapt to constantly changing business requirements
18. Highly professional, with an ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
19. Strong IT capability
