Tenancy Engagement & Enforcement Officer Location: Poole (5 days in office) Contract: 2 months, likely extension Recruiting for a Local Authority Preferred: CIH Level 3 Housing Professional Overview Lead on tenancy enforcement, serious breaches, and property access for compliance. Investigate housing fraud and unlawful occupation, progressing legal action when required. Manage complex cases and work closely with internal teams and external partners. Key Duties Handle escalated tenancy breaches and provide clear, accurate advice. Maintain detailed case records, prepare evidence and attend court if needed. Support compliance teams to gain access for safety checks. Use judgement to take appropriate action, from warnings to legal notices. Build positive relationships with tenants and promote understanding of responsibilities. Organise a demanding caseload and meet changing priorities. Requirements Relevant housing qualification or equivalent experience (CIH Level 3 preferred). Strong knowledge of tenancy enforcement processes and legislation. Confident IT user (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience managing complex cases independently. Strong communication, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills. DBS check required. Ability to travel as needed.
