An opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a non-departmental public body (NDPB) that funds projects and activities transforming communities. This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract for the role of Legal Manager.
As the Legal Manager, you will report to the Head of Legal Services and manage a team of 5. Your responsibilities include overseeing compliance processes, legal policies, legal projects, procurement, and risk strategies. You will handle high-value, high-risk legal projects and build relationships with organizational leaders and external stakeholders, including government entities and other NDPBs.
Candidates must be a UK qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant experience. Prior experience managing a team, along with excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills, is essential. Experience working for a similar public body or within the public sector is highly desirable.
